UNSPSC 43211609: Universal serial bus hubs or connectors

UNSPSC 43211609 Universal serial bus hubs or connectors is a Commodity code, but the recent opportunities posted under it show a significant mismatch between the code's nominal scope and what state and local governments are actually procuring. The three most recent solicitations tagged to this code involve steel wheels and connections for pool cues (Hillsborough County, Florida, IFB 26P00431), tire leasing services for a transit fleet (Consolidated Government of Columbus, Georgia, RFB 26-0034), and bus and fleet vehicle parts for a school district (Rockwood School District, R-VI, Missouri, RFB 2614202). None of these procurements center on universal serial bus hubs or connectors; the code appears to be a misclassification issue rather than an active category for relevant state and local buying activity. The issuing bodies include a county, a city transit authority, and a school district across three states, but the work being solicited bears no substantive connection to the UNSPSC category name.

The recent activity suggests this code sees little relevant state and local procurement volume aligned with its intended scope. No additional opportunities beyond these three misclassified records appear in the source, and no geographic concentration or issuing-body pattern emerges that would support a meaningful market assessment. Business development professionals evaluating whether to pursue opportunities under UNSPSC 43211609 should treat this code as inactive for its stated product category and verify UNSPSC classification directly with issuing bodies before responding to any solicitation.
