UNSPSC 40161524: Paint filters

UNSPSC 40161524 Paint filters, a Commodity code, does not align with the recent state and local procurement activity posted under it. The solicitations tagged with this code are purchasing paint supplies, painting services, and related materials — not paint filters — indicating a taxonomic mismatch at the source level that limits its relevance as a category signal for filter procurement.

The recent opportunities span paint product purchases (assorted paints, paint for facility maintenance), painting labor and materials services (exterior painting, interior and exterior painting at county facilities), and a mixed-trade construction project that includes painting as one scope among many. Issuing bodies include state correctional departments (Texas Department of Criminal Justice), county governments (Marion County Florida, Sarasota County, Orange County Florida), a municipal development authority (City of Madison, Wisconsin), and construction management firms acting as agents for county entities. The Texas Department of Criminal Justice appears twice with paint procurement solicitations (IW252554 and IW256389), both seeking assorted paints through the Euna Procurement (Bonfire) portal. Geographic activity concentrates in Texas and Florida, with one Wisconsin solicitation. Because the code shows no recent paint-filter opportunities, it does not currently signal activity aligned with its nominal scope, and vendors pursuing filter contracts should treat this code as inactive for state and local procurement purposes at present.
