NIGP 94549: Hunting and Trapping Services

NIGP 94549 Hunting and Trapping Services, an Item code, encompasses wildlife control and removal services that state and local governments contract to manage nuisance animal populations, invasive species, and habitat protection. The work includes live trapping, lethal removal, relocation coordination, and associated pest-management activities on public lands, parks, facilities, and natural areas. Issuing bodies soliciting under this code span state departments of natural resources and wildlife management, county parks and facilities departments, municipal public works and parks bureaus, and special-purpose districts managing conservation areas and water resources. School districts and transit authorities occasionally post related facility-management work when animal intrusion affects operations.

The source provided contains no recent state or local contract opportunities under this code, making current market characterization unavailable. Prospective vendors should monitor notices from state wildlife agencies and county parks departments in regions with significant public land management, where seasonal demand for trapping and removal services typically concentrates, but no specific geographic concentration or representative recent solicitations can be determined from the available data.
