About NIGP 59024
NIGP 59024 Fasteners, Snap (Item) covers snap fasteners and related closure hardware that state and local governments procure for equipment assembly, maintenance, and repair across industrial, automotive, and general-purpose applications. Snap fasteners—press-fit or clinch-style connectors that join materials without threaded engagement—appear in municipal vehicle fleets, school district equipment maintenance, water and wastewater treatment facilities, and transit authority rolling stock. Counties and cities source these components for routine capital equipment upkeep and facility operations; state departments of transportation and public works purchase them for highway maintenance and infrastructure support. School districts and special-purpose districts (water authorities, transit agencies) round out the buyer base, typically bundling snap fastener purchases into broader maintenance and repair RFQs or cooperative purchasing contracts. The code also captures fastener distributor supply agreements that public bodies use to stock maintenance inventories.
The source material provided contains no recent state and local contract opportunities under NIGP 59024 Fasteners, Snap and offers no geographic, issuing-body, or representative-solicitation detail to support activity characterization at this time.
