NIGP 24056: Glassware, Table

NIGP 24056 Glassware, Table (Item) covers serving and food-service glassware and related smallwares purchased by state and local governments for institutional dining, convention facilities, and food-service operations. Recent solicitations show state and local buyers acquiring glassware as part of broader food and beverage smallwares procurements for cafeterias, convention centers, and serving counter operations, often bundled with plates, utensils, and related table service equipment from authorized manufacturers.

School districts, county convention authorities, and state departments drive the recent activity. The Conejo Valley Unified School District in California issued an IFB for child nutrition serving counter equipment (due July 28, 2026), and Orange County, Florida posted an IFB for food and beverage smallwares for its convention center (due April 30, 2026), naming eleven authorized manufacturers including Libbey and Eastern Tabletop and setting a five-year estimated contract value of $2,145,000. The Florida Department of Transportation solicited restaurant equipment furnish-and-install for a state building kitchen in Tallahassee (due April 22, 2026). California and Florida dominate recent posting activity under this code. Sourcewell's cooperative purchasing RFP for law enforcement equipment (due June 16, 2026) also touched tangentially on institutional smallwares within a broader multi-jurisdiction framework serving public entities across Washington, Minnesota, and beyond, though glassware was not the primary focus.
