NIGP 04550: Kitchen Units, Compact, Complete

NIGP 04550 Kitchen Units, Compact, Complete is an Item code under which state and local governments procure kitchen equipment service, repairs, and renovation work for government facilities. Recent solicitations reveal that this code covers both maintenance contracts for existing kitchen equipment and comprehensive renovation projects involving cabinetry, countertops, flooring, and fixture installation at fire departments, schools, and other public facilities. Issuing bodies include school districts, municipal governments, and fire departments seeking to upgrade or maintain kitchen infrastructure to meet operational and safety standards.

Fulton County Schools posted an RFP for kitchen equipment service and repairs due September 24, 2026, while the City of College Park, Georgia issued a sealed-quote solicitation (due May 15, 2026) for comprehensive kitchen renovation at its Fire Department, specifying Slim Shaker cabinetry, stainless steel countertops, tile work, flooring, and finish carpentry. A secondary opportunity through Sourcewell, a Minnesota cooperative purchasing vehicle, issued RFP #061626 for law enforcement equipment (due June 16, 2026) with participation from multiple Washington and other jurisdictions, though the scope diverges from typical compact kitchen unit procurement. Activity under this code spans Georgia and Minnesota with school districts and municipalities as primary issuing bodies. No contract values or incumbent vendors are disclosed in the available documentation.
