The Department of Defense Education Activity (DODEA) intends to award on a competitive basis, a contract to provide a wireless, portable PA system for classroom application. This requirement is being solicited in accordance with FAR part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The solicitation number is HE1254-08-T-0033 and is issued as a Request for Quote. THIS IS A BRAND NAME OR EQUAL PURCHASE. Altus AFB has a requirement for a follow-on upgrade to an existing conference room with audiovisual system. The system includes two 52" flat panel televisions, a matrix switcher, screen, I-Pad with associated wireless controls, VGA scaler, remote lighting system, stereo amplifiers, projection screen, wireless access points, camera system, microphone system and secure features. This is a follow-on to a recent previous contract and the system must integrate with the existing security features such as EMSEC. Due to the security requirements and complex nature of the original install and problems with another similar upgrade at Altus AFB, the 97th Contracting Squadron intends to make award to Rogers Electronics 902 E.
