About Erickson Incorporated

Erickson Incorporated is a Portland, Oregon-based aerospace manufacturer and global provider of aviation services, specializing in the design, manufacturing, and operation of the S-64 Air Crane helicopter. The company is registered in SAM.gov as a for-profit corporate entity that provides specialized aviation solutions to various federal agencies. Through its federal contract awards, Erickson delivers a wide range of services including aerial firefighting, helicopter pilot training, military freefall support, and specialized aviation technical services. The company maintains a robust federal contract portfolio that spans multiple agencies, with a particular focus on providing critical rotorcraft capabilities to civilian and military organizations.

Erickson Incorporated has consistently provided diverse goods and services across multiple federal agencies, with the majority of its prime contract awards concentrated in aerial firefighting and aviation training. The United States Department of Agriculture Forest Service's National Interagency Fire Center has been a significant customer, awarding numerous delivery orders for aerial firefighting services using Erickson's S-64 Air Crane helicopters. Additionally, the company has secured contracts with the Federal Aviation Administration for helicopter pilot training on various rotorcraft models, including the Sikorsky SK-64 and S-92. Other notable contract work includes specialized training for the Air Force Special Operations Command, such as bottom of container courses and canopy control training. None of Erickson's prime contract awards utilized small business set-aside designations, indicating the company competes as a large business across federal procurement opportunities.

Erickson Incorporated holds several significant indefinite delivery contracts (IDVs) across different federal agencies. These include a $650 million multiple-award IDIQ with the United States Special Operations Command for military freefall and static line support services, a $1.94 million single-award contract with the Federal Aviation Administration for helicopter pilot training, and a $3.5 million ASTRO GWAC contract with the General Services Administration for platform-related services. The company also maintains a SEAPORT-NXG contract with the Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command. These IDVs enable Erickson to compete for task orders spanning a broad range of aviation-related services, including flight instruction, aircraft simulator rental, component overhaul, aircraft modifications, and specialized logistics support. The contracts demonstrate Erickson's versatility in providing technical and operational aviation services to multiple federal agencies.
