About the company

Through federal grants, the DC PCA supports Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) in areas such as electronic health records optimization, value-based payment arrangements, chronic disease management, cancer screening, emergency preparedness and response, and addressing social determinants of health.
As a prime recipient, the DC PCA has received a project grant from the Department of Health and Human Services to facilitate consensus and readiness among FQHCs on health information technology and value-based payments. As a sub-recipient under the District of Columbia Government, the DC PCA has provided training, technical assistance, and engagement with health center executives and emergency managers to strengthen primary care emergency response capacity. Additionally, the DC PCA has assisted FQHCs with care management for high cost patients with chronic diseases, implementation of tobacco use assessment and treatment, improving cancer screening rates, and contributing the perspective of primary care clinics to emergency planning.
