About Crta

Crta is a Serbian grassroots civic organization that promotes democracy and good governance in Serbia. Through federal grants, Crta conducts election observation, explores innovative approaches to achieve meaningful electoral reforms, promotes transparency and accountability of institutions, and counters disinformation.

Crta has received over $2.1 million in prime federal grants from the U.S. Agency for International Development to observe Serbian national and local elections through 2028. As a subrecipient, Crta supports local advocacy groups in areas including election monitoring, government transparency, access to information, and evidence-based policymaking. Crta also received grants from the State Department to monitor electoral corruption and debunk anti-Western propaganda. Partners include USAID Serbia and the State Department's Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs and Bureau of International Narcotics Law Enforcement.
