About this opportunity

The Department of Financial Services, Division of Workers' Compensation (Division) in the state of Florida is proposing to purchase statistical information from the Workers' Compensation Research Institute (WCRI) to measure the performance of the Florida Workers' Compensation System. This information will be used to ensure the stability and self-execution of the Florida Workers' Compensation System and direct potential legislative changes. The Division is seeking prospective vendors who can provide the necessary services, which include accessing proprietary data sources and conducting multi-state comparisons using a trademarked reporting system. Relevant information from prospective vendors must be provided by May 17, 2024 at 10:30 AM (ET). If the Division determines that the services are available only from a single source, it will post a notice of its intended decision to enter an agreement with the WCRI pursuant to Florida Statutes. The estimated dollar amount for this single source procurement is $195,000.00.

The Division has determined that the WCRI is the sole entity that can provide the necessary services to comply with Florida's workers' compensation statutes and support potential legislative changes. There are no set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond, and no incumbent vendors or current contractors are listed. The Division is seeking to integrate any existing infrastructure or technology that the WCRI may have in place to provide the required services.
