About this opportunity

The state of Georgia, specifically through Georgia Southern University, is issuing an electronic Request for Proposals (eRFP) for comprehensive Water Treatment Services under State Purchasing Act guidelines. The procurement seeks a qualified supplier to provide monthly in-person water treatment services, including regular equipment maintenance, on-site testing of multiple water parameters such as pH, conductivity, iron, copper, hardness, and alkalinity. The services will encompass calibration of monitoring sensors, preventative maintenance, and chemical inventory audits. Additionally, the contract requires a sophisticated remote monitoring system with continuous water quality tracking, featuring capabilities for remote chemical dosage control, real-time inhibitor feed using a fluorometer, and sensor installations for data transmission. The successful vendor must provide a web-based platform with mobile application functionality, enabling real-time monitoring of water quality metrics, weekly data analysis and reporting, automatic critical deviation alerts, and comprehensive personnel training. The eRFP is specifically tied to RFQC No. 53900-eRFP-000001304-2025, with proposals due by February 8, 2025, and was originally posted on January 13, 2025.

The contract opportunity is geographically focused on Brooks County (FIPS Code 13027) and requires pre-qualification through a specific procurement process. Potential vendors must have already been identified as qualified suppliers through the referenced RFQC process, which serves as a preliminary screening mechanism. While specific set-aside designations are not explicitly detailed, the pre-qualification requirement suggests a structured approach to vendor selection. The procurement does not specify an exact award value or budget range, but the comprehensive nature of the services implies a substantial and potentially multi-year contract. The 24/7 technical support, advanced technological integration, and detailed monitoring requirements suggest this is a complex service contract targeting vendors with significant water treatment expertise and technological capabilities. Prospective vendors will need to demonstrate advanced remote monitoring technologies, data analysis skills, and the ability to provide comprehensive water treatment management across multiple operational parameters.
