About this opportunity
The County of Morris, New Jersey, is seeking sealed bids for a water remediation project at the 30 Schuyler Place Building, designated as Bid #B25-100. The procurement involves comprehensive water remediation work, potentially including repairs to parapets, window heads, roof systems, and masonry, with detailed technical specifications outlined in the bid documents. A mandatory pre-bid site meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the building's front doors, with attendance highly recommended for potential bidders. The formal bid submission deadline is July 25, 2025, at 11:00 AM Eastern Standard Time, with bids to be delivered to the Morris County Purchasing Division. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond for 10% of the total bid amount (not exceeding $20,000), and must include a consent of surety stating the surety company will provide the required performance bond. Bidding documents are available for free download from the Morris County bid system starting July 7, 2025, and the County anticipates awarding the contract within 60 days of bid closing.
The procurement appears to be open to all qualified vendors, with specific requirements for compliance with New Jersey statutory regulations, including N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq., which typically address equal employment opportunity and affirmative action guidelines. Bidders must be prepared to furnish performance, payment, and maintenance bonds as specified in the contract documents. The successful vendor will be required to maintain all project documentation for five years and make records available to the New Jersey Office of the State Comptroller upon request. While no specific budget range is explicitly stated, the bid bond requirement of up to $20,000 suggests the project has a substantial scope and potential value. The contract will require the selected vendor to complete the water remediation work within 180 days after contract award, with strict documentation and compliance requirements. Vendors should be prepared to demonstrate technical expertise in water remediation, building repair, and restoration techniques specific to historic or municipal building environments.
