About this opportunity
The City of Oakland Public Works Department, Sewer Division, is requesting quotations for repair services on thirteen wastewater lift stations throughout Oakland under RFQ 426528, with proposals due October 26, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. and questions due October 21, 2026. Addendum #3, posted October 12, modifies prior requirements: technicians are now required to be available only during standard business hours Monday through Friday, removing the previous seven-day-per-week on-call mandate.
The scope includes maintenance and repair of submersible Flygt pumps (models NP3102, NP3127, NP3085, and NP3153), control panels, piping, float switches, and associated components. Contractors must employ certified technicians and possess adequate tools and equipment. Flygt-certified or Xylem-certified technicians are preferred; documented experience repairing Flygt/Xylem equipment is accepted. Proposals must include hourly labor rates, overtime rates, and miscellaneous charges with detailed breakdowns of labor and materials at current market rates on all quotes and invoices.
The not-to-exceed contract value is $250,000 over an initial two-year term with an option to extend for one additional one-year period at the City's sole discretion. Fixed hourly and overtime rates must remain constant throughout the initial two-year term; if adjustments are necessary in year two, the contractor must provide 60-day advance notice. No estimated annual usage data regarding anticipated service calls or labor hours is available.
Contractors must maintain an active City of Oakland Business Tax License and comply with insurance requirements per Schedule Q. Submissions are through iSupplier only; hardcopy documents are unavailable. Prospective bidders are responsible for registering in iSupplier and verifying receipt of all addenda before submission.
