About this opportunity

The Ohio Department of Veterans Services is seeking bids for a walking path resurfacing and culvert replacement project at the Ohio Veterans Home-Georgetown, located at 2003 Veterans Blvd, Georgetown, OH 45121. The project involves approximately 3,800 linear feet of walking path, 10 feet wide, which requires comprehensive resurfacing and culvert replacement. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for January 7, 2025, at 10:00 AM, with attendance required for potential bidders. Contractors must perform all work to the highest quality, meeting or exceeding industry standards, and complete the project outside of normal facility operating hours (6:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday). The contract term runs from January 1, 2025, or upon receipt of a valid purchase order, through June 30, 2025, with all work to be completed by the end date. Bidders must submit their proposals through OhioBuys and include required documentation such as the Certification Statements Form, Contractor Information Form, and Affirmation and Disclosure Form.

The procurement opportunity appears to have several potential preferences and set-aside considerations, including provisions for Domestic Source End Products, Ohio preference, and Veteran Friendly Business Enterprise (VBE) status. Contractors must complete detailed certification sections demonstrating compliance with Buy American, Buy Ohio, and Buy Veteran requirements. The state offers potential preference points for businesses meeting E.D.G.E. (Encouraging Diversity, Growth and Equity) certification and those with significant Ohio-based operations. While a specific budget range is not explicitly stated, contractors must provide an itemized breakdown of materials and labor costs. The project includes a one-year workmanship guarantee, and bidders must disclose their principal business locations, service performance locations, and data storage locations, which are required to be within the United States unless a specific state waiver is obtained. False or misleading information could result in disqualification and potential legal consequences, including potential debarment from future state contracting opportunities.
