About this opportunity

The City of Newark, New Jersey is seeking video production services for its Municipal Council and City Clerk's Office through Bid No. 2023-18, with electronic proposals being accepted until 10:15 am on May 18, 2023, via the City's e-Procurement Portal. The procurement seeks a vendor to provide comprehensive video production services, including videotaping events outside City Hall, operating video control panels in the Municipal Council Chamber for live-airing and recording public meetings, and providing staff for production at the Newark Television Studio located at Symphony Hall. Specific deliverables include camera operation with 1-4 operators, off-line and on-line editing, technical meeting recording assistance, and DVD copy services. Bidders are required to submit flat-rate prices for a two-year contract that encompass all associated costs such as labor, materials, supplies, transportation, and handling. The City reserves the right to award the contract in whole or part and adjust the contract amount to match actual requirements. Evaluation will likely focus on pricing, technical capabilities, and compliance with specified service requirements.

The procurement appears to have no specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises, though bidders must comply with New Jersey state laws including affirmative action provisions and anti-discrimination statutes. Vendors must be registered to do business in New Jersey and meet standard legal and regulatory requirements. The contract is anticipated to be a two-year agreement with monthly invoicing and payment generally processed within 30 days of approval. While no specific budget range is explicitly stated, the comprehensive nature of services suggests a potentially significant contract value. No incumbent vendor information is provided in the available documentation. Prospective bidders will need to demonstrate professional video production capabilities, technical expertise in live event and meeting recording, and the ability to operate sophisticated video control equipment in municipal government settings. The City will evaluate submissions based on their ability to meet the technical specifications and provide cost-effective, high-quality video production services.
