About this opportunity
The University of Georgia seeks qualified contractors through an electronic Request for Qualified Contractors (eRFQC) to provide HVAC maintenance and repair services for the university's BioContainment Facilities, specifically the Animal Health Research Center (AHRC) located in Clarke County, Georgia. This procurement is not intended to result in an immediate contract award; rather, it will establish a qualified supplier list for future competitive bidding opportunities. The primary deliverables and services include annual, semiannual, quarterly, and monthly inspections, cleaning, and testing of all mechanical components within AHRC; 24-hour callback response services for AHRC-related matters as requested by the Owner; and repair, adjustment, and mechanical system component replacement services as directed by the Owner, with labor and material costs to be established at rates determined through the contract. The procurement was posted on February 14, 2022, with a response deadline of February 21, 2022. While specific evaluation criteria are not detailed in the posting, qualified suppliers must demonstrate the capability to meet or exceed the identified requirements for providing comprehensive HVAC maintenance services in a biocontainment facility environment.
No specific set-asides, disadvantaged enterprise designations, or restrictions on organizational types are mentioned in this procurement notice. Additionally, the posting does not identify any incumbent vendors, current contractors, or existing technology infrastructure requiring integration with proposed services. No award value or budget range is provided in the available documentation for this solicitation. Interested contractors should note that qualification through this eRFQC will position them to participate in subsequent competitive solicitations for the full scope of operations, maintenance, and routine repair services for the university's containment laboratories.
