The Town of Simsbury, Connecticut, located in Hartford County, is soliciting bids for a Trail Fencing Replacement project through a Request for Proposal (RFP) numbered 13379. The procurement involves the installation of 2,378 linear feet of 42-inch high 3-rail fencing along a multi-use trail, with specific requirements including white cedar railings, locust posts featuring wedge/paddle end rails, and all posts to be dirt tamped in place. The contractor will be responsible for completely removing and disposing of all existing wood fencing, with work to be performed Monday through Friday, excluding state and federal holidays unless prior approval is obtained from the Director of Culture, Parks and Recreation Department. Sealed proposals must be submitted to Amy Meriwether, Director of Finance, by 10:30 AM EST on February 9, 2023, at 933 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury, CT 06070. Bidding documents and specifications are available exclusively through the Town's website at www.simsbury-ct.gov/finance/pages/public-bids-and-rfp, with no mailed or faxed documents accepted. The project contact is Thomas Tyburski, who can provide additional information about the solicitation.

The RFP does not specify any set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise requirements, or restrictions on vendor participation, indicating the solicitation is open to all qualified vendors. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are mentioned in the documentation, and there are no details provided about existing infrastructure requiring integration. The solicitation does not indicate a specific award value, budget range, or total estimated contract value. The delivery terms are specified as Free On Board Destination, with payment terms to be determined by the vendor. The Town emphasizes that the work must be completed with minimal impact to trail users, though no specific completion timeline or contract duration is explicitly stated in the available documents. Interested vendors should carefully review all attached documents and contact Thomas Tyburski at 860-408-4682 for any clarifications or additional information about the Trail Fencing Replacement project.
