About this opportunity
The City of San Antonio's Capital Delivery Department is soliciting bids on the Toyota Southside Streets construction project on a unit price contract basis, with bids due February 17, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Central Time. Bidders must register with the San Antonio E-Procurement System (SAePS) and comply with the Small Business Economic Development Advocacy (SBEDA) Program subcontracting requirements, prevailing wage rate requirements, the Local Preference Program Ordinance, the Veteran-Owned Small Business Preference Program, the Responsible Bidder Ordinance, and the Heat Illness Ordinance.
The scope covers street construction work under a unit price contract where quantities shown are estimated for budgetary purposes only and the City may order all, some, or none of the identified work. Addendum No. 1, issued February 10, 2026, adds project scope items related to the Toyota Entrance West Gate work, including barricades, signs and traffic handling, a portable changeable message sign, temporary sediment control fence, and gravel filter bags. The project requires four project signs and does not include hazardous environmental work. Substantial completion is required within 180 calendar days from contract award.
The revised estimated construction budget is $2,984,810.20 following Addendum No. 1. Online bidding opens January 16, 2026 through CivCast. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting via WebEx is scheduled for January 27, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Central Time. Written questions are due February 3, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. Central Time. Bid results will be posted on CivCast and read aloud via WebEx on the bid deadline date. All bid documents must include bid bond, performance bond, payment bond, insurance requirements, and certification forms. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of Addendum No. 1 in CivCast as a condition of submission. The point of contact is Procurement Specialist II Desiree R. Alderete at desiree.alderete@sanantonio.gov.
