About this opportunity

Clay County, Florida is accepting applications from registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations for the Tourism Development Council Special Event Marketing Grant, with applications due August 14, 2026 at 4:30 p.m. Applicants must be nonprofits in good standing serving Clay County residents through special events that attract visitors from outside the county and promote tourism and economic activity.

The maximum grant award is $3,500 per special event, distributed across three funding categories: $1,500 for events that showcase Clay County's character and culture; $1,500 for multi-day events held over two or more consecutive days; and $500 for events occurring during identified tourism need months (January, February, June, July, August, September, and November). An organization may stack awards across categories for a single event—for example, a two-day cultural event held in July could draw $3,500.

Applicants must submit electronically through the ProcureNow portal and provide an IRS Form W-9, a 501(c)(3) IRS Determination Letter, and a Clay County Supplier Form if new to county business. Reimbursement is contingent upon submission of a completed Post-Event Report within 60 business days after the event concludes. No expenses incurred prior to Tourism Development Council recommendation or Board of County Commissioners approval will be reimbursed. Applications are released July 23, 2026.
