Part B covers manual counterweight rigging system inspection, maintenance, and repair for a three-year contract beginning November 1, 2028. Services will be provided across four venues — Symphony Hall, Orpheum Theatre, Herberger Theater Center, and South Ballroom Stage — encompassing 289 total line sets. Contractors must demonstrate a minimum of five years in operation. For Part B, at least one Entertainment Technician Certification Program (ETCP) Theater Certified Rigger with current certification is required. All work must comply with OSHA, ANSI, and ESTA standards. Final inspection reports are due within 90 business days of completion.
Pricing must be submitted on a firm and fixed basis for the initial contract year, with annual price increases permitted upon written documentation submitted at least 60 days in advance. A performance surety bond of $10,000 is required immediately after award notification. Insurance must be submitted within 14 calendar days of award. A Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation plan is required, with contractors obligated to submit an initial plan within 30 calendar days of award and track DBE participation annually. Award is contingent upon City Council approval and completion of required documentation.
