About this opportunity

The New Hampshire Veterans Home in Tilton is requesting proposals for temporary kitchen and dietary staffing services with proposals due July 14, 2026 at 4:00 PM and vendor inquiries due July 10, 2026 at 3:00 PM.

The scope includes temporary staffing for kitchen supervision, cooks, dishwashers, cleaning personnel, tray service staff, food preparation workers, and dining room employees. Staff must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, operating dishwashers and food disposal equipment, reading and following recipes, and sanitizing food service areas. ServSafe certification and prior food service experience are preferred. Shift hours vary and may include shifts of four or more hours. Prior to servicing residents, all staff must submit conviction disclosure attestations, criminal background checks, OIG exclusion list screenings, BEAS state registry checks, proof of fitness for duty, physical and drug tests as applicable, and evidence of policy review completion.

The contract term is up to two years from Governor and Executive Council approval or August 19, 2026, whichever is later, with an optional two-year extension at the Agency's discretion. Compensation is a flat hourly rate to be specified in the vendor's response. The contractor is responsible for all licensing fees, taxes, insurance, and wages for temporary staff, including federal and state tax payments; NHVH employee benefits are not available to contracted personnel. Invoices must be submitted within 30 days of service delivery. The vendor must maintain professional liability insurance of at least $1,000,000 per claim and $3,000,000 per incident, comply with HIPAA and CDC/OSHA infection prevention protocols, and provide replacement staffing for any absences. Either party may cancel with 60 days' written notice; unsatisfactory performance permits immediate termination. The vendor's response is effective for 180 days from submission or until the contract effective date, whichever is later.
