About this opportunity

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is conducting a procurement for Pavement Preservation and Maintenance Services through an Invitation to Bid (ITB) / Request for Quote (RFQ) with contract identification number 680f7f8a2871a6c80300bde1. This solicitation is specifically targeting road maintenance services under the state's statutory authority for procuring construction and maintenance services for public roads. Only pre-qualified contractors with a Master Services Agreement (MSA) starting with 48400-410-0000034480 are eligible to participate in this bidding process. The procurement focuses on pavement preservation and maintenance activities for state roadways, with specific emphasis on services related to SR12-173201. Interested contractors must thoroughly review the entire ITB/RFQ documentation and follow all instructions carefully. The solicitation was posted on April 24, 2025, with bid responses due by May 12, 2025. GDOT reserves the right to modify existing provisions, include additional terms, reject any or all bids, and waive technical irregularities at its discretion.

The contract opportunity appears to have strict qualification requirements, limiting participation to pre-approved contractors with specific MSA agreements. No specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises were explicitly mentioned in the documentation. The procurement is governed by specific Georgia state codes (O.C.G.A 32-1-3 and 32-2-61), which outline the legal framework for road maintenance service contracts. While no specific budget range or award value was provided in the documentation, the contract is associated with two specific reference numbers: MMSA 48400-410-0000034480 and RFQC 48400-410-0000033480, which suggest there are established parameters for contract scope and compensation. The competitive bidding process indicates that multiple contractors may be evaluated, with GDOT maintaining significant discretion in contractor selection and contract award.
