This procurement is being conducted under statutory authority outlined in O.C.G.A 32-1-3 and 32-2-61, focusing on ancillary services related to public road infrastructure maintenance. Only contractors who have been prequalified through GDOT's routine maintenance prequalification process and awarded a Master Service Agreement (MSA) under contract #48400-410-000021912 are eligible to participate. The solicitation was posted on January 17, 2025, with bid responses due by February 3, 2025. Qualified firms must demonstrate specific expertise in bridge maintenance and repair, and will be subject to the terms and conditions of the existing MSA and the current ITB/RFQ documentation. GDOT reserves considerable discretion in the procurement process, including the ability to modify existing provisions, reject any or all bids, and waive technical or informational discrepancies.
The contract opportunity appears restricted to prequalified contractors who have already been vetted through GDOT's specific qualification process, effectively limiting participation to a predetermined group of approved vendors. No specific disadvantaged enterprise requirements or set-aside designations were explicitly mentioned in the provided documentation. While the exact budget range or potential contract value was not specified, the procurement is focused on a specific bridge maintenance project in Wilkes County. The procurement process emphasizes strict adherence to preestablished qualification criteria, suggesting a structured and controlled approach to contractor selection. GDOT's retention of broad discretionary powers in bid evaluation and contract award further underscores the competitive and selective nature of this contracting opportunity. Interested contractors must carefully review all documentation and comply precisely with the outlined requirements to be considered for the bridge maintenance project.
