About this opportunity
The Washington Convention and Sports Authority, operating as Events DC, is soliciting bids for the supply of interlocking steel barriers under RFQ 25-S-060, with responses due August 10, 2026, and questions due August 3, 2026. Events DC offers Certified Business Enterprise (CBE) preference points up to twelve points for eligible vendors, including preferences for small business enterprises, resident-owned businesses, longtime resident businesses, local business enterprises, disadvantaged business enterprises, veteran-owned businesses, and local manufacturing enterprises.
The scope covers two products: Black 8-foot interlocking steel barriers with flat base (part number CM1000) and Black 8-foot interlocking steel barriers with wheelbase (part number Barr-8ft-Roller), supplied on an as-needed basis to the Convention Center and other venues owned, controlled, or managed by Events DC. Bidders must submit firm-fixed prices on an FOB Destination basis, inclusive of shipping, administration, overhead, and delivery costs. Prices are valid for ninety calendar days from quote submission.
The base contract term runs October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027, with four one-year renewal options available at Events DC's discretion subject to thirty-day preliminary written notice before expiration. Pricing will be evaluated on lowest aggregate overall cost over the contract life. Events DC intends to award multiple contracts to responsive bidders.
Qualified bidders must demonstrate three years of documented experience supplying the specified goods, possess all required District, Federal, and State licenses, and be bonded and licensed to do business in the District of Columbia. All responses must be submitted electronically through the OpenGov e-procurement system with supporting documentation including W-9 forms, tax certifications, DSLBD CBE certification letters if applicable, and three customer reference letters. Offerors must provide authorized negotiator information, an Equal Employment Opportunity Policy Statement, a Disclosure Statement regarding any relationships with Events DC Board members or Key Staff, and a District of Columbia Tax Certificate of Good Standing.
