About this opportunity
The New York Racing Association (NYRA) is soliciting quotations for a stone products procurement contract covering multiple racetracks located in New York, including Belmont Park in Elmont, Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, and Aqueduct Racetrack in Ozone Park. The procurement encompasses various stone materials such as 3/4" and 3/8" stone, 1-1/2" stone, quarry process/crusher stone in multiple sizes, stone dust, multiple stone classifications (Fill, #1, #2, #1A, #3), and mason sand. Vendors must be prepared to either pick up or deliver these materials directly to the specified racetracks. The contract term is one year, commencing January 1, 2026, with a potential optional one-year renewal at NYRA's discretion. Proposals must be submitted by November 17, 2025, at 5 PM to the Senior Director of Procurement, with complete specifications available on the Empire State Purchasing Group website. Bidders have two submission options: electronic submission through BidNet Direct or manual submission to the Ozone Park address.
While no specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements are explicitly mentioned in the documentation, prospective bidders must comply with submission guidelines and demonstrate capability to provide the specified stone products. The contract will be awarded through a competitive quotation process, with submissions evaluated based on responsiveness to specifications, pricing, and delivery capabilities. Although no specific budget range is provided, the procurement appears focused on supplying stone materials for track maintenance and infrastructure needs across multiple NYRA facilities. Interested vendors must carefully review the full specifications on the Empire State Purchasing Group website and ensure timely submission of their proposals. The contract's geographic scope covers Queens County and extends to other New York State racing venues, suggesting a potentially significant operational opportunity for qualified stone product suppliers.
