About this opportunity

The Nevada Division of State Parks, under the State Purchasing Division Department of Administration, is soliciting qualified vendors through a Request for Proposals to provide on-call fire protection services for the Southern Region of Nevada's state parks system, encompassing 27 parks across four statewide regions. The procurement seeks a single contract award for a four-year term subject to Board of Examiners' approval, with services including testing, monitoring, and repair of fire protection and security systems; inspections and repairs or replacements of fire protection and prevention equipment to maintain fire code compliance; backflow inspections and reporting; and inspection, repair, and monitoring of fire and security systems. All work requires pre-approval by the Southern Region Manager or Southern Region Facilities Manager, with contractors obligated to obtain necessary permits, inspection reports, and certifications through an online reporting system upon completion. Vendors must submit proposals through nevadaepro.com by March 12, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time, with a deadline for submitting questions by February 26, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., answers posted by March 5, 2026, and evaluation estimated for March 12-19, 2026. Evaluation will be based on four equally weighted factors at 25 percent each: Demonstrated Experience, Conformance with RFP Terms, Expertise and Availability, and Cost Factor, with Notice of Intent issued approximately March 20, 2026, Notice of Award around April 3, 2026, and Board of Examiners' approval estimated for April 17, 2026.

Nevada-based businesses receive a five-percent preference pursuant to Nevada Revised Statutes 333.3351-333.3356, with the State applying an inverse preference to vendors from states that apply in-state preferences not afforded to Nevada-based vendors. Mandatory minimum requirements include Nevada business licensure, System for Award Management (sam.gov) registration, data encryption and stateside data maintenance, a no-boycott of Israel agreement, and various certifications regarding equal opportunity employment, drug-free workplace policies, and conflict of interest disclosures. Contractors must maintain Commercial General Liability insurance with a General Aggregate limit of $2,000,000, Automobile Liability coverage with a Combined Single Limit of $1,000,000 if vehicles are used, and Workers' Compensation insurance meeting statutory requirements with Employers' Liability limits of $100,000 per accident, with the State of Nevada named as an additional insured on all policies. All responses must remain in effect for a minimum of 180 days after the due date, and awarded vendor pricing must remain effective throughout the contract term. The contract structure is established as an on-call arrangement until allocated funding is exhausted; specific budget or award value ranges are not disclosed in the solicitation documents.
