About this file

This Scope of Work document is issued by the Nevada Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Division of State Parks, and outlines the requirements for an on-call fire protection contract serving the Southern Region. The contract encompasses testing, monitoring, and repair of fire protection and security systems across all Southern Nevada state parks and the Southern Regional Headquarters. Specific work includes inspections and repairs or replacements of fire protection and prevention equipment to maintain fire code compliance, backflow inspections and reporting, and inspection, repair, and monitoring of fire and security systems protecting state employees, visitors, and property. The contract is structured as a four-year on-call arrangement or until allocated funding is exhausted, with all work requiring pre-approval by the Southern Region Manager or Southern Region Facilities Manager prior to commencement.

All work must be quoted and assigned an Encumbrance Document Number (ED) before authorization. The contractor must provide necessary permits, inspection reports, and certifications through an online reporting system upon work completion. Invoicing is contingent upon prior ED approval and the submission of all required permits and reports through the online system. This requirement structure ensures accountability and documentation compliance throughout the contract term.

Re: On Call Fire Protection Contract

The scope of work of this contract will include testing, monitoring, and repair of the fire protection and security systems at all Southern Nevada state parks, and the Southern Regional Headquarters. Work will include (but is not limited to) inspections and necessary repairs or replacements to all fire protection/prevention equipment needed to stay within fire code. Work will also include backflow inspection, repair, and reporting. Work may also include inspection, repair and monitoring of fire and security systems used to protect state employees, visitors, and property.

The expectation is that these duties will be fulfilled on an on-call basis through a four-year contract, or until the allocated funding is exhausted.

Because this contract is used on an on-call basis, all work must be pre-approved by the Southern Region Manager or Southern Region Facilities Manager. Work will not be approved without a quote, and an Encumbrance Document Number (ED) must be issued by State Parks signifying pre-approval of work before work can begin. All necessary permits, inspection reports and certifications must be made available through an online reporting system after work is completed. Invoicing of work cannot take place unless work was pre-approved by ED issuance and permits and reports were made available online after work was completed.
