SP- Professional Meteorological Weather Forecasting Services

The Illinois State Toll Highway Authority (ISTHA) is seeking a vendor to provide Professional Meteorological Weather Forecasting Services for a three-year contract term commencing on October 15, 2022. The selected vendor will be responsible for providing 24/7 weather forecast services, including snow storm alerts and warnings, to 12 maintenance locations throughout the Illinois Tollway System. The vendor must be a Professional Meteorologist and will be required to deliver detailed meteorological information and adhere to strict notification protocols. Vendors must submit quotes for all line items to be considered responsive, and the award will be made to the lowest total bidder. Pricing for the initial three-year term must be provided, and no price increases will be accepted, though the Tollway is guaranteed to receive the lowest price in the event of a decrease. The contract is contingent upon the availability of funds, and the Tollway may terminate the agreement in whole or in part without penalty if funding becomes unavailable.

The Request for Quote (RFQ) does not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The RFQ also does not list any incumbent vendors or current contractors, nor does it mention any existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration. While the specific award value or budget range is not provided, the RFQ states that the contract will be awarded to the lowest total bidder.
