The selected vendor will provide 24/7 weather forecast services, including snow storm alerts and warnings, to 12 maintenance locations throughout the Illinois Tollway System. The contract term is for 3 years, commencing on October 15, 2022, with no renewal options. Vendors must submit quotes for all line items to be considered responsive, and the award will be made to the lowest total bidder. The RFQ provides detailed specifications for the weather forecasting services, including required meteorological information and notification protocols. Invoices must include the original order date and attest to meeting the required contract standards.

Pricing for the 3-year initial term must be provided, and no price increases will be accepted. The RFQ states that in the event of a price decrease, the Tollway is guaranteed to receive the lowest price. The contract is contingent upon and subject to the availability of funds, and the Tollway may terminate the contract in whole or in part without penalty if funding is unavailable.
