The New Hampshire Department of Transportation, through the Division of Procurement and Support Services, is requesting bids for snowplow equipment under RFB 181-26, with bids due June 8, 2026 at 10:00 AM Eastern Time.
The scope covers nine units across three categories: three units of two-way heavy front-mounted plows, three units of heavy right-side wing plows, and two units of heavy left-side wing plows (plus one additional heavy left-side unit noted in the specifications). All equipment must be new, current model year, and compatible with existing Frink or Viking truck attachments without modification. Moldboards must be fabricated from minimum 10 U.S.S. gauge steel with heavy reinforced frameworks. Approved manufacturers are Everest, LaRochelle, Viking, and Tenco, with reference models specified for each plow type and duty level. Manufacturers must be experienced producers capable of producing a minimum of 100 units annually. All equipment must comply with New Hampshire hazardous waste regulations, with coatings containing no hexavalent chromium or cadmium, applied to SSPC-SP6 standards in NH Omaha Orange (Federal Standard 595B, color 12243). Comprehensive technical documentation including operating instructions, maintenance manuals, parts lists, and schematic drawings is required. The manufacturer must guarantee in writing to provide service anywhere within New Hampshire at no cost to the department.
Delivery is required within 90 days of purchase order receipt to NHDOT's Bureau of Turnpikes facility in Hooksett. Bid prices must be firm and include all delivery costs under F.O.B. Destination terms; no additional charges, surcharges, or fuel charges may be added after bidding. Equipment carries a one-year warranty minimum covering parts, labor, shipping, travel, and lodging. Questions are due June 1, 2026, with the State responding by June 2. Award will be made to the responsible vendor submitting a conforming bid at the lowest total cost. Bidders may submit written exceptions at least five days prior to bid opening.
