About this opportunity

Snow College is soliciting proposals to provide food service operations at its Richfield campus in Utah under RFP SNOC26271003, with proposals due August 18, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. MT/MDT and questions due August 3, 2026.

The scope encompasses retail lunch operations Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. during the academic year (mid-August through end of April) for approximately 410 students, 60 faculty and staff, and campus guests, plus year-round catering services including summers with first right of refusal on all college catering events. The vendor must source all beverages through Pepsi products under a separate Pepsi contract and maintain specified food quality standards (U.S. Grade A meats and poultry, USDA Choice canned goods). Historical data shows approximately 27,274 catering meals and 11,994 cafeteria meals served over the past two years. Catering pricing must align with the college's Schedule of Allowance Rates: breakfast $16, lunch $19, dinner $28 per person. The contractor must operate a point-of-sale system with customizable reporting and submit monthly detailed sales reports by the 14th of each month. All costs—food, supplies, equipment, software, training, implementation, labor, and travel—are the contractor's responsibility.

The initial contract term runs September 1, 2026 through July 31, 2028, with three optional one-year renewals and terminable with 30-day written notice. The contractor pays Snow College $550 monthly rent, subject to adjustment in January and June by mutual agreement. Snow College provides existing facilities, large equipment, and utilities; the contractor bears 25% of large equipment maintenance costs and 100% of costs from contractor negligence. The contractor must maintain $2 million in comprehensive general, contractual, and automobile liability insurance with Snow College named as additional insured, obtain performance and payment bonds if subcontracting or requiring prepayment, and comply with all federal, state, and local health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Invoices must be submitted within 7 days of service; submissions after 30 days receive a 50% discount and are voided if submitted after 90 days. Qualified vendors will present food samples and participate in facility walkthroughs on September 3, 2026, with contract award anticipated around September 1, 2026.
