The IPA Director is responsible for overseeing the IPA's statutory powers and duties, including developing electricity procurement plans, a renewable resources procurement plan, conducting competitive procurement processes, and managing the IPA's funds and operations. The interviews for the IPA Director position must be completed by March 10, 2022, and the two-year term appointment is subject to Senate confirmation, beginning on March 21, 2023. The consultant must have knowledge and understanding of the electric industry, electricity policy, or electricity markets to assist with evaluating the interview responses and validating the candidates' expertise.
The contract is a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) with The Energists, a vendor, with a term from January 27, 2023 to June 30, 2023 and includes three payments totaling $49,500 for the retainer and hourly consulting services.
