About this opportunity
The City of Philadelphia is requesting quotes for shank-free prison safe dust pans under a micro purchase through PHLContracts, with quotes due October 5, 2026. Vendors must submit a duly completed Consent and Authorization Agreement to be deemed responsive; quotes must include all line items to be eligible for award.
The dust pans are designed for correctional facility use and must be constructed from non-sharpenable polymer with flexible construction that bends under stress, heat-resistant design that warps under high temperature exposure, orange coloring for identification, and no sharp edges or heavy components. Briarwood Products #6010 is provided as a reference example. Vendors must include a product specification sheet with their proposal and incorporate shipping costs in the unit price quoted.
The total quote shall not exceed $45,000, adjusted annually by the percentage increase in the CPI-U from January 1, 2020, to the most recently published CPI-U and rounded to the nearest thousand dollars. Quote validity extends 60 days from submission. The contract term commences on the Effective Date specified in PHLContracts and terminates automatically 365 days thereafter without notice.
All prices quoted must be net and exclusive of taxes. Delivery must be FOB Destination Point and shall not commence until the purchasing department provides written notification. The City reserves the right to award as a whole or by line item, whichever serves its best interest, to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
Successful vendors must maintain workers' compensation insurance at statutory limits, general liability insurance with a minimum of $500,000 per occurrence, and automobile liability insurance with a minimum of $300,000 per occurrence. Compliance with Philadelphia's business tax requirements, nondiscrimination provisions, ethics requirements, and tax indebtedness certifications is mandatory. Submission of the voluntary LGBTQ Applicant Opportunity Data form is encouraged.
