About this opportunity

Greater Rockford Airport Authority is soliciting bids for sealcoating maintenance at the Amazon Building and Cargo Building under ITB #26-08, with bids due June 9, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. CDT and a mandatory Phase 1 start date of July 4, 2026 at 2:30 p.m. CDT.

The scope consists of two phases across two airport locations: Phase 1 at 6313 Beltline Road (15,900 square yards) with mandatory completion by July 5, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. CDT due to client work schedules; Phase 2 at 5824 Kishwaukee Road (9,990 square yards) to be completed within 30 days of Phase 1's start. Work includes two coats of sealcoating per IDOT specifications, remarking sections with one primer coat and one final color coat using highway-grade glass beads, and application of pavement markings in multiple colors (yellow, white, red, and blue) with specified dimensions and locations.

The contractor must comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act using rates effective April 15, 2026, and maintain commercial liability insurance of at least $2 million naming the Authority as additional insured. The contractor must provide minimum three references from organizations providing similar services; failure to provide references may result in disqualification. A three-year warranty covering material defects, peeling, flaking, cracking, and improper application is required, excluding damage from vehicle traffic, underlying pavement cracks, tree roots, or acts of God. All pricing must be submitted as full purchase price including delivery, transportation, handling, and overhead, remaining firm for the project period.

The Authority will award based on adherence to specifications, price, bidder qualifications, completion date, workmanship quality, and warranty provisions. Payment is targeted within 30 days of invoice submission upon satisfactory completion and approval. The questions deadline is May 26, 2026 at 12:01 a.m. A site visit is recommended and may be arranged by contacting Josh VanBriesen at 815-391-4126. No pre-bid conference will be held.
