About this opportunity

Red Rocks Community College (RRCC), a Colorado state institution in Jefferson County, is soliciting documented quotes for three Legacy Roby 1 computer-numerically controlled machines under RRCC 27-04-DQ. Written inquiries are due October 29, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. Mountain Time, and quotes are due November 5, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. Mountain Time. The procurement is funded wholly or partially through the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Improvement Act of 2006 (CFDA #84.048A), so federal provisions apply. These include current System for Award Management registration, debarment and suspension checks, and a prohibition on Huawei and ZTE telecommunications equipment. Domestic preference applies to the federal award, with preference given to goods, products, and materials produced in the United States.

The machines, with integrated computers and controllers, will expand student hands-on training in RRCC's Fine Woodworking program. Each unit must meet minimum specifications of a 27" x 60" x 52" workspace, a 3 HP spindle, Mach3 Motion Control Software, CAM Pro Turning Software, and a 208V single-phase power supply. Quoted prices must be firm for the initial purchase order term and include delivery, shipping, and installation, exclusive of taxes. RRCC offers a trade-in allowance of up to $10,000.00 for one Legacy Maverick Gen 2 CNC Router, with the discount reflected in vendor pricing. Delivery must be completed by June 15, 2027 to meet grant deadlines, and a missed deadline cancels the order. Payment terms are Net 45, with no payment before goods or services are received.

Respondents must submit a signed vendor response and price sheet, a current W9, and manufacturer-issued specification sheets by email to Lynn Beltran, Director of Purchasing, at lynn.beltran@rrcc.edu, and must register with the Colorado VSS System. Award will go to the responsible respondent whose acceptable quote is most advantageous to the State. Price and cost are primary considerations, and sample quality and lead time may also be evaluated. RRCC will publish inquiry responses on Colorado VSS by November 2, 2026, with award selection and notification estimated for November 11, 2026 and a desired purchase order start of November 17, 2026. The awarded vendor must provide proof of good standing with the Colorado Secretary of State and insurance documentation before purchase order execution.
