About this opportunity

Red Rocks Community College is soliciting a documented quote for snow removal services at its Arvada Campus parking lots, with quotes due September 10, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. Mountain Time. There is no set-aside or preference program; however, vendors must self-certify their small-business, women-owned-business, minority-business, and service-disabled veteran-owned small-business status and provide Colorado VSS System registration status.

The scope covers snow plowing, anti-icing, and de-icing services across two Arvada locations (10280 West 55th Avenue and 5400 Miller Street), one future Wheat Ridge location (5335 North Miller Street), and on-call support for the Lakewood Campus. Services must be available 24/7 with all snow cleared by 7:00 a.m. the day following any snowfall event. Plowing commences at two inches of accumulation; anti-icing and de-icing commence at contractor discretion. Equipment must include snow plows (7.5-foot, 9-foot with wings, and 12-foot sizes), skid steer with plow, and granular material distributor trucks. The contractor must supply Ice Slicer granular deicer and provide detailed equipment lists with make, model, and year.

Mandatory qualifications include a minimum of three years of prior snow plowing experience and two references from the past two years for similar-scope work. Pricing must remain firm during the initial term and include all service-delivery fees; vendors submit hourly equipment-operation rates and per-ton material pricing. The contract term is one year with four optional renewal years, with an estimated award date of September 14, 2026 and purchase order start date of October 1, 2026. Award will be made to the responsible respondent whose quote is determined most advantageous to the College, with price/cost as the primary consideration. Contractors must obtain appropriate insurance coverage prior to purchase order execution. Responses must include a signed Vendor Response and Price Sheet, a current W-9 form, and be directed to Lynn Beltran, Director of Purchasing, at lynn.beltran@rrcc.edu.
