Key deliverables include waterline tie-ins to existing mains, removal of existing waterlines, installation of gate valves and fire hydrants, comprehensive traffic control, and full infrastructure restoration involving asphalt pavement, sidewalk, curb and gutter, and traffic striping replacement. The bid (ITB-2604) is due on September 16, 2025, at 2:00 pm, with a project completion timeline of 90 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Bidders must submit a 5% bid bond and demonstrate compliance with New Mexico Public Works Statutes, including registration with the Labor and Industrial Division and adherence to prevailing wage requirements.
The procurement appears open to all qualified contractors, with no specific set-aside designations mentioned in the documentation. Contractors must carry specific insurance coverages, including Workers' Compensation, Comprehensive General Liability, and Comprehensive Automobile Liability. The project's estimated total cost is $454,051.61, which includes $420,175.00 for base construction work and $33,876.61 for New Mexico Gross Receipts Tax at 8.0625%. Additional project costs include $7,500 for material testing and $25,000 for temporary Traffic Control Plan implementation. Bidding documents are available from DePauli Engineering & Surveying for a refundable deposit of $250.00, and the City of Gallup reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, with potential consideration of alternates if sufficient funds are available.
