About this opportunity
Alpine School District Department of Purchasing, conducting procurement through Timpanogos School District Professional Services, is requesting statements of qualifications from architectural firms to design a new Transportation Facility, with qualifications due July 2, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. This is a qualifications-based selection under Utah Procurement Code 63G-6a Part 15; pricing must not be included in submissions, and the highest-ranked vendor will be selected to negotiate compensation determined fair and reasonable.
The facility, sited on 12 acres in Lindon, Utah, is designed as 12,000 to 14,000 square feet with four service bays, one drive-thru wash bay, five offices, five reception/cubicle spaces, one classroom training room, and three bus canopies each covering 30 buses. Architectural services shall comply with AIA Document B101 standard form of agreement and may include additional services negotiated post-award.
Respondents must demonstrate professional liability insurance with errors and omissions coverage of at least $1,000,000 annual aggregate limit; provide debarment certifications; and submit at least five client references, including a minimum of three for similar facilities designed within the past ten years. Background checks are required for any employee working at a District site.
Evaluation uses weighted criteria: 20 points for firm qualifications and experience, 35 points for proposed team strength and individual member qualifications with references, 25 points for past performance and client references with emphasis on school construction experience, and 20 points for design ability on similar-sized projects. Submissions are due electronically through Utah Public Procurement Place (UPPP). If the district cannot reach agreement on compensation, contract requirements, or contract documents with the highest-ranked vendor, it may proceed to negotiate with the next highest-ranked vendor. All contracts are governed by Timpanogos School District Standard Terms and Conditions and Utah law exclusively.
