About this opportunity
Alpine School District Department of Purchasing is requesting statements of qualifications from architectural firms to design a new maintenance and warehouse compound under RFSQ 63G-6a Part 15, with qualifications due July 16, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. This is a qualifications-based selection process; no pricing is to be submitted with qualifications, and compensation will be negotiated post-award as fair and reasonable by mutual agreement.
Aspen Peaks School District is conducting the procurement on behalf of Alpine School District. The scope encompasses design and related architectural services in accordance with AIA Document B101, with additional services subject to negotiation. Respondents must demonstrate adequate personnel and resources, proper Utah business licensing, professional liability insurance with a minimum $1 million annual aggregate, and proof of background-check arrangements for any employees accessing District sites.
Evaluation is weighted as follows: firm qualifications and experience (20 points), proposed team strength and member qualifications (35 points), past performance and references (25 points), and design ability with similar-sized projects (20 points). Statements must include completed certification forms, firm qualifications and experience data, assigned team credentials and references, workload management capabilities, visual overviews and renderings of similar projects completed within the past ten years, at least five client references with three for similar facilities designed within the past decade, professional liability insurance proof, debarment certification, and litigation history disclosures.
The highest-ranked vendor will be selected to negotiate a contract; if negotiations fail to reach fair and reasonable terms, the District may proceed with the next highest-ranked vendor in rank order. All submissions must be made electronically through Utah Public Procurement Place. Respondents may assert claims of business confidentiality for sensitive competitive and financial information using the provided Claim of Business Confidentiality form, though pricing cannot be classified as confidential. Vendors must comply with Utah anti-boycott statutes and certifications regarding forced labor and restricted foreign entities. Responses must be monitored on the Utah Procurement Portal for addenda and answered questions.
