About this opportunity

The Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority (CCRTA) is requesting quotes for solid waste collection and disposal services under a two-year, fixed-unit-price service agreement, with quotes due October 16, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. CST.

The scope includes collection at two locations: Staples Street Center (602 N. Staples) and Operations Facility (5658 Bear Lane). The contract encompasses five containers total—two 8-cubic-yard containers at Staples Street Center collected twice weekly, two 8-cubic-yard containers at the Maintenance Shop collected three times weekly, and one 6-cubic-yard recycling container for cardboard at the Operations Facility collected once weekly. All quoted unit prices must be fixed for the contract term and cover container furnishing and rental, collection, hauling, disposal, labor, vehicles, fuel, equipment, maintenance, overhead, profit, permits, and licenses. Only landfill or tipping fees and state-mandated disposal or flow fees may be adjusted based on documented changes imposed by disposal facilities or governmental authorities. CCRTA, as a political subdivision of Texas, is exempt from sales and use taxes; bidders must not include such taxes in quotes. The contractor must maintain Commercial General Liability Insurance with a minimum limit of $1 million and Automobile Liability Insurance with a combined single limit of $1 million, with CCRTA named as additional insured.

Bidders must be regularly engaged and appropriately licensed in solid waste collection services with sufficient financial capacity, equipment, personnel, and organization to be considered responsible for award. Submission requires completion of the Price Schedule (Attachment A), Conflict of Interest and Ethics Certification (Attachment B), four references from similar projects completed within the past five years—excluding CCRTA as a reference—and Bidder Information Sheet (Attachment D). Questions are due October 8, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. CST, with answers provided by October 9. CCRTA strongly encourages onsite walkthroughs; contact Thomas Jimenez, Facilities Building Manager, at tjimenez@ccrta.org to schedule. Quotes remain valid for 120 calendar days from the due date. Payment terms are Net 45 days calculated from the later of the final day of the service month or receipt of a correct billing statement.
