About this opportunity

The City of Hampton, Georgia has issued Request for Qualifications (RFQ) No. 2024-100 for architectural services targeting comprehensive design and consulting services for multiple capital improvement projects. The procurement seeks qualified architectural firms capable of providing in-house or subcontracted services including facility condition assessments, site selection consulting, feasibility studies, master planning, architectural design, interior design, acoustical evaluation, life safety system design, building information modeling (BIM), accessibility assessments, and technology infrastructure design. Targeted properties include Cherry Street, Old Fire Station, Catherine S. Williams Community Center, Hampton Historic Train Depot, Hampton City Hall, and 24 E. Main Street building, with specific objectives of expanding, renovating, and constructing new facilities. The city is soliciting qualifications from two types of firms: Type A (large-scale comprehensive consulting companies) and Type B (small-scale commercial architectural services companies). Key submission deadlines include November 15, 2024, for submitting questions, November 18, 2024, for receiving addendum responses, and the final proposal due date of November 25, 2024, at 1:00 PM EST.

The RFQ includes provisions for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) requirements under 49 CFR Part 26, indicating a preference for diverse vendor participation. The city intends to select approximately three architectural firms, though the exact number will depend on received qualifications. There are no guaranteed project volumes or dollar amounts specified, with the city reserving discretion to add professional services as needed. The contract will have an initial term with automatic annual renewals for up to four additional years, contingent on 30-day termination notice provisions. Firms must submit an hourly fee schedule in a separate sealed envelope, and the city will evaluate submissions based on professional qualifications, expertise in relevant project types, and demonstrated capability to meet the comprehensive service requirements. While specific budget ranges are not explicitly outlined, the scope suggests significant capital improvement initiatives across municipal facilities that will require substantial architectural and design expertise.
