About this opportunity

Wor-Wic Community College is requesting proposals for snack and coffee vending services on its main campus in Salisbury, Maryland, with proposals due December 15, 2025 at 2:00 p.m., and interviews with top-scoring proposers scheduled for January 8–12, 2026.

The scope is full-service vending including delivery, stocking, equipment supply and maintenance, revenue collection, trash removal, and machine cleanliness across six campus locations: two snack machines in Brunkhorst Hall and snack and/or coffee machines in Hazel Center, Guerrieri Technology Center, Henson Hall, Fulton-Owen Hall, and Shockley Hall. Machines must accept dollar bills, coins, and credit/debit cards with wireless connectivity. Coffee machines are preferred but not mandatory; proposers must flag if coffee equipment will not be provided. The college will accept a single machine in Building H if volume does not justify two units.

The initial contract period runs February 7, 2026 through May 15, 2027 (18 months base), with four optional one-year renewal periods running annually May 16 through May 15 thereafter. Either party may terminate with sixty days' notice. Historical annual sales range from $6,124 (fiscal 2021) to $20,534 (fiscal 2025); the college does not guarantee sales volume. The contractor bears all equipment, maintenance, parts, labor, and wireless-connectivity costs; the college provides electricity and water.

Evaluation is weighted 70% on responsiveness to scope, past experience, qualifications, and references, and 30% on commission rate on net sales. Contractors must hold minimum three years' vending experience, Maryland business and professional licenses, and $1 million combined general liability coverage. Stocking is required at least twice weekly August 15 through May 15 and at least once weekly May 16 through August 14, with service calls resolved within twenty-four hours. Monthly commissions are due within thirty days.

Questions were due December 5, 2025. Contract award notification is anticipated January 16, 2026. Addendum Two clarifies the 18-month base term (originally stated as four months); Addendum One addresses machine placement and coffee-machine optionality.
