About this opportunity

The University of Wisconsin - La Crosse (UWL) is conducting a Request for Information (RFI UWL-2410) for comprehensive audit services targeting its telecommunication systems and related applications. The procurement seeks detailed information about audit service offerings covering cloud services, data systems, internet infrastructure, mobility solutions, SaaS licensing, and voice systems. Key objectives include identifying opportunities for optimization through consolidation, standardizing applications, improving IT transparency, evaluating IT asset management processes, optimizing workforce efficiency, reducing costs, and streamlining IT processes. The RFI was issued on May 17, 2024, with responses due by June 14, 2024, at 2:00 PM CT. Supplier questions were required to be submitted by May 24, 2024, with university responses expected by May 31, 2024. Potential presentations from invited suppliers are tentatively scheduled for mid-July 2024. The primary evaluation focus will be on providing detailed information about cost recovery, cost reduction, and elimination of redundant services within UWL's existing telecommunication ecosystem. Respondents must submit a single original response as a Word document or PDF via email to procurement@uwlax.edu, with "RFI UWL-2410" in the subject line.

The RFI allows for potential preferences for Minority Business Enterprises, Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses, and work centers employing persons with severe disabilities, as outlined in the DOA-3832 Bidder Required Form. The procurement includes an optional participation mechanism for Wisconsin's Cooperative Purchasing Service, which could enable municipalities to leverage resulting contracts. No specific budget or funding amount is identified in the RFI, and the University retains sole discretion in determining how the RFI results will be utilized - whether for developing a competitive procurement, selecting a supplier from existing consortium contracts, or purely for informational purposes. The RFI indicates potential interest in vendors with specific experience auditing systems like Cisco, Jabber, Imagicle, and Brightspeed. Respondents are expected to provide comprehensive details about their company background, technical specifications, implementation processes, report generation capabilities, service terms, and pricing structures, including volume discounts and implementation costs. The University explicitly notes that this RFI does not constitute a solicitation or binding contract, and submitted responses will not be returned to respondents.
