About this opportunity
Jordan School District, located in West Jordan, Utah, has issued Request for Information (RFI) #26TH10RFI seeking comprehensive enterprise network monitoring and visibility solutions. This RFI is issued in accordance with the State of Utah Procurement Code and is an information-gathering exercise only, not a formal procurement or solicitation for bids and proposals. The district requires vendors to provide detailed capabilities information addressing 15 distinct areas including network architecture and deployment models, operational monitoring across multiple infrastructure layers, alerting and incident response mechanisms, device telemetry and hardware monitoring, performance and traffic analysis, network visualization, IP and MAC address tracking, logging and event correlation, configuration management, wireless network monitoring, automation and system integration, client access and mobile support, and 24/7 support operations. Required technical capabilities include on-premises deployment with optional cloud services, support for SNMP telemetry collection, NetFlow or sFlow traffic analysis, dynamic network visualization, link utilization monitoring, hardware health metrics, traffic analysis, wireless performance monitoring, alerting via email, SMS, mobile push notifications, and webhook integrations. The solution must provide IP and MAC address tracking, log retention for 2-6 weeks with full-text search capabilities, configuration management with automated backups and change detection, REST-based APIs, and web-based and mobile access interfaces for iOS and Android platforms. Vendors must submit responses by Friday, April 10, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. MDT through Utah Public Procurement Place Bonfire (U3P Bonfire) at https://utah.bonfirehub.com, with questions due by Monday, April 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. MDT. The district strongly prefers on-premises deployment models rather than fully cloud-hosted or SaaS-based solutions and may invite select vendors to participate in a Proof of Concept, issue a subsequent RFP with defined technical requirements, or select a preferred solution for a pricing-only solicitation based on RFI responses.
The RFI documentation does not specify any set-aside designations, restrictions on responding organizations, disadvantaged enterprise requirements, or incumbent vendor information. Vendors responding to this RFI should not include pricing information in their submissions but must describe general licensing structures including licensing models and hardware requirements, clearly indicating whether functionality is native, an add-on, a third-party integration, or an open-source dependency. Respondents are required to submit a Vendor Information Sheet, Vendor Differentiating Capabilities statement (limited to one page maximum), Technical Questionnaire with Capability Responses, and Product Identification & Licensing Mapping form as part of their complete RFI response. Vendors may assert claims of business confidentiality for nonpublic financial statements, specific employee names and contact information, and specific customer information or client lists using the provided Claim of Business Confidentiality Form, though pricing and cost information cannot be classified as confidential. The district operates a large distributed network environment across multiple campuses with centralized core infrastructure including core switches, routers, wireless access points, firewalls, and unified communication systems that must integrate with any proposed monitoring solution. No specific budget ranges, award values, or contract term lengths are disclosed in the RFI documentation, and the purchasing contact for this opportunity is Tonya Hodges, NIGP-CPP, CPPB, Senior Buyer at Jordan School District Purchasing Department.
