About this opportunity

The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) is requesting bids for resurfacing, guardrail replacement, and ADA improvements on approximately 9 miles of US Route 150 and Illinois Route 117 in Woodford County, with bids due June 12, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. through the iCX-Integrated Contractors Exchange system.

The scope encompasses Class D patching, milling and resurfacing, cold-in-place recycling (CIR) with emulsified asphalt, hot-mix asphalt placement, guardrail replacement, ADA improvements including school crossing compliance, minor drainage improvements, bridge deck joint replacement and overlay, and related collateral work. Work extends from 535 feet west of the US 150/IL 117 intersection to the Woodford County line on US Route 150 and from Raymond Street to the US 150/IL 117 intersection on Illinois Route 117. The contract is identified as Project STP-JV3D(122) and is federally funded under Federal-Aid provisions. CIR operations are restricted to the May 15 through September 15 window with minimum air temperature of 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Construction requires coordination with fourteen utility companies and railroad work procedures. Contractors must notify IDOT fourteen days prior to project commencement and comply with traffic control restrictions, including limitations on simultaneous side-road closures and changeable message board placement protocols.

The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. IDOT reserves the right to determine responsibility at time of award, reject any or all bids, re-advertise, or waive technicalities. Work must meet Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction (revised January 1, 2026) and Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices requirements. EEO compliance, project labor agreement requirements, subletting restrictions, and comprehensive quality control and quality assurance testing are mandatory. Public bid opening follows immediately after the 12:00 p.m. deadline.
