About this opportunity
Broward County, Florida has issued a Request for Information (RFI) Notice of Intent to Designate Sole Source for a Vimeo Enterprise Subscription service, posted on January 16, 2026, with a response deadline of January 26, 2026. The County is seeking a comprehensive online video platform capable of delivering live and on-demand streaming services that meet its operational and compliance requirements. The required solution must include integrated chat features for audience engagement, multiple bit rate streaming for both live and on-demand content, support for live events, webinars, and on-demand videos with interactive video capabilities including built-in quizzes and polls. Additional technical specifications encompass advanced analytics dashboards with customizable performance tracking and Google Analytics integration, content management tools enabling folders, showcases, and channels, team collaboration features with role-based access controls, automatic captioning and transcripts for accessibility compliance, and hardware encoder agnostic compatibility. The platform must support up to 4K and HDR video playback with no pre-roll or mid-roll advertising, API integration capabilities, native distribution to major social media platforms, domain-level privacy controls, password protection, and live streaming for up to three concurrent events with stream health monitoring and adaptive bitrate transcoding. The evaluation criteria focus on the vendor's demonstrated ability to meet or exceed all specified requirements, with prospective vendors required to submit documentation through the County's electronic bidding system.
The RFI explicitly designates Vimeo.com, Inc.'s Vimeo Enterprise Subscription as the sole source vendor, indicating that Broward County has determined this platform is the only commodity or service meeting its comprehensive needs. The procurement invitation remains open to prospective vendors capable of meeting or exceeding the County's requirements, as well as vendors contesting the sole source designation who must provide written explanations or supporting documentation to justify their objections. No specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises or other restricted categories have been identified in the available documentation. The incumbent vendor identified is Vimeo.com, Inc., and the required solution must integrate with the County's existing infrastructure and technology systems. No specific contract award value or budget range has been disclosed in the RFI materials, as this is a request for information rather than a formal competitive procurement with predetermined pricing.
