About this opportunity
An unidentified Florida county is issuing a Request for Information on physical security integration services due October 30, 2026, structured as a Notice of Intent to Designate Single Source and conducted to determine whether the specified services are available from multiple providers or whether an alternate solution exists that would meet the county's needs.
The scope encompasses embedded engineering services for an airport facility, including surveying, installing, upgrading, replacing, troubleshooting, supporting, and maintaining all physical security systems. The vendor must demonstrate experience with Video Edge, Matrix, Verkada, OpenEye, Genea, HID, Amico, and Cisco Meraki platforms. A critical technical requirement is the ability to provide 24/7 support for custom integrations between the existing Matrix SQL database and Genea Access Control public APIs, including data translation and mapping between those systems. The vendor must perform hardware installation for cameras, card readers, badging systems, electrified locks, door hardware, control panels, and power supplies; deliver professional engineering drawings with PE stamps; obtain all necessary permits; and provide dedicated project management. All hardware and software must be patched to appropriate security levels and comply with TSA regulatory requirements.
Respondents should not submit pricing or cost proposals. The county is conducting market research at this stage to inform subsequent procurement strategy and to establish whether a single-source designation is justified or whether competitive procurement remains viable. Vendors must indicate whether they can fully satisfy each requirement or only partially meet specifications and identify any material differences between their proposed services and those outlined in the RFI questionnaire. This RFI does not constitute a purchase commitment or formal solicitation.
