About this opportunity
The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD), a Special Taxing District operating as a local government entity in Orange County, Florida, is soliciting proposals for electrical equipment repairs and maintenance services under a three-year continuing contract with an as-needed and emergency basis structure. The procurement encompasses repair and maintenance of transformers, circuit breakers, and switches installed within District-owned buildings. Contractors must demonstrate comprehensive experience with specific breaker models and voltage ratings, including 480V equipment from manufacturers such as ABB/ITE/BBC K600-K4000, Square D PowerPact, Square D MasterPact NW, Westinghouse Seltronic NC 1200, and Eaton Magnum DS; 5kV breakers from ABB/ITE/BBC HK and Westinghouse VCP-W; and 12kV equipment from Westinghouse G & T, ABB/ITE/BBC VHK, ABB/ITE/BBC ADVAC, Cutler Hammer VCP, and Westinghouse VCP-W. Contractors must provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, transportation, and tools necessary to perform the work, with proposals clearly indicating which services from the specified list they are capable of accomplishing. The solicitation was posted on January 23, 2026, with proposals due by February 12, 2026, and submissions must be made electronically through the PlanetBids platform. Prospective vendors should register on the bid portal to receive bid invitations and access complete bid documents, with questions directed to Devin Ager, Procurement Analyst, at 407-371-4963 or dager@oversightdistrict.org.
The District offers bid preferences to local vendors, veteran small businesses, and opportunity zone businesses on most solicitations, though no specific set-aside requirements or restrictions limiting eligible respondents are explicitly detailed in the available documentation. No incumbent contractor information, current vendor details, or existing infrastructure integration requirements are disclosed in the procurement announcement. The bid flyer does not provide specific award values, budget ranges, or estimated contract amounts, requiring interested vendors to obtain this information through the complete bid documents available on the PlanetBids platform. Evaluation criteria focus on contractor capabilities and demonstrated experience with the specified electrical equipment types and manufacturer models, as evidenced through proposal submissions. The three-year continuing contract term structure indicates the District's intent to establish a long-term service relationship with qualified contractors capable of responding to ongoing and emergency electrical maintenance needs across its infrastructure portfolio.
