About this opportunity
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection is re-advertising a competitive solicitation for Petroleum Contamination Site Response Action Services. The department is seeking qualified vendors to provide a broad range of services related to the assessment, remediation, and closure of petroleum contaminated sites across the state of Florida, with a focus on Leon County and the City of Tallahassee. The scope of work includes activities such as site reconnaissance, monitoring well installation, soil and groundwater sampling, remedial action implementation, system operation, and site restoration. The contract will have an initial 5-year term with up to 5 additional 1-year renewal options. Responses are due by August 15, 2024, and the department will evaluate proposals based on vendor qualifications, technical approach, and pricing. The department intends to make multiple contract awards but reserves the right to award to a single vendor or make no award at all.
The solicitation does not include any set-aside requirements, though the department encourages participation from minority-owned, veteran-owned, and woman-owned businesses. The current incumbent contractor is unknown. The funding for these services will come from the state's Inland Protection Trust Fund, which is financed through taxes on petroleum products. The department has not provided a specific budget amount for the contract, but the pricing will be a significant factor in the evaluation and award process.
